2014 Salone Internazionale del Mobile Preview

Everything’s ready for the 53rd edition of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the international showcase which will take place from April 8th – 13th, 2014.

The Salone , divided into 3 different stylistic types – Classical, Modern and Design, together with the two biennial, that is to say EuroCucina and the Salone Internazionale del Bagno, will exhibit 2.400 exhibiting (among which we can find new entries in furnishing field), with some 300.000 expected visitors from 160 different countries (the Salone will be open from Saturday through Sunday for all the visitors).

Along with the market proposal, the Salone will combine a rich and eminent cultural offer. In order to give us the opportunity to explore some renowned artists’ visions and their personal poetics and then reflecting  on the wider contemporary patterns connected with living sector, there will be an event which will take us where the architects live, at stand # 9.They will bring us into some illustrious and very popular architects’ private houses (Sigheru Ban, Mario Bellini, David Chipperfield, Massimiliano e Doriana Fuksas, Zaha Hadid, Marcio Kogan, Daniel Libeskind and Biiov Jain/Mumbai Studio).

Since the Salone Satellite, the one dedicated to young artistic talents, has been confirmed @ stands 13-15, it will see the presence of 650 under 35 designers. In its 5th edition already, the Salone Satellite Award will award the three best represented projects at Salone Internazionale del Mobile.

The Salone del Mobile is becoming more and more important due to the great resonance it gives to Milan. This city becomes ,during these 7 days, a place in the world lime lights, becoming an attractive pole whether from a cultural and a commercial point of view.

A great number of events  will liven up the whole city (FuoriSalone). Moreover, entrance tickets for all of the civic museums will be free (Museo del Novecento, Museo Archeologico, Museo di Storia Naturale, Musei del Castello Sforzesco, Palazzo Morando, Acquario Civico, Galleria d’Arte Moderna and Museo del Risorgimento) to give all visitors the possibility to know their precious artistic collections. The ticket will be integrated between city transportation and entrance to the Fair.
